INVERCARGILL LADIES’ CLUB The following are the results of the women’s bogey match and eclectic bogey match played at Otatara yesterday:— Bogey Match.—Miss Henderson, 3 down; Mrs G. R. Hanan, 4 down; Mrs 0. G. Gilmour, 5 down. Eclectic Bogey.—Mrs F. G. HallJones, all square; Mrs S. Lowden, 1 down; Miss Gardner, 3 down; Miss McCarthy, 3 down; Miss Henderson, 3 down. The best scores in the Handyside Cup competition for Julv were: Mrs F. G. Hall-Jones, 85-8-77; Mrs A. C. Ford, 104-27-77. Mrs Hall-Jones won in the play-off. The following are the results of the third round of knock-out foursomes: Miss D. McCallum and Miss McCarthy (6) defeated Miss M. McCallum and Miss Gardner, 2 up; Miss Smith and Mrs H. J. Macalister defeated Mrs Hall-Jones and Miss Gilkison (5), 1 up; Mrs Speirs and Miss Stout (7) defeated Mrs Cor kill and Mrs Hanan, 3 and 2; Mrs Skjellerup and Mrs Ford (8) defeated Miss Watson and Mrs Irwin, 2 up. In the fourth round Miss Smith and Mrs Macalister defeated Miss McCallum and Miss McCarthy (1), 4 and 2, and Mrs Speirs and Miss Stout (13) defeated Mrs Ford and Mrs Skjellerup, >5 and 4. Miss Smith and Mrs Macalister play Mrs Speirs and Miss Stout in the final. A party of 14 members journeyed to Gore recently and were the guests of the Gore Ladies’ Golf Club. Friendly matches were played.
