LOYAL ORANGE LODGE

The annual church parade of the Loyal Orange Lodge and Protestant Alliance was held at First Church last evening. About 100 members of the lodge attended the parade.

The Rev. J. A. Thomson was the preacher. The subject of his address was “The Bedrock of the Protestant Religion,” based on the first verse of the fifth chapter of The Epistle to the Romans, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Lesson was read by a member of the lodge. Appropriate hymns were sung by the choir, conducted by Mr L. E. DallevThe anthem was “O for a closer walk with God.” Miss Holdsworth was the soloist and Mrs A. F. Manning was the organiste.
