OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP AT SANDWICH (Received July 5, 12.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 4. In the open golf championship at Sandwich half the competitors played the first qualifying round on the Royal St. George’s course and the remainder on the Prince’s course. The second qualifying round, tomorrow will be played on the reverse courses. At Prince’s T. S. McKay (Australia) scored 78. The others include Pennink (77). At St. George’s the scores include Lacey 68, E. E. Whitcombe 68, King 73, Tolley 75.
