ELECTORS ADDRESSED BY MR HALL-JONES The policy of the Labour Government and the statements of party leaders were discussed by Mr F. G. HallJones, the National candidate for Invercargill, in an address to supporters in North Invercargill. There was a good attendance. Claiming that the present system of democratic Government was being undermined, the speaker said that the “frantic phrases of its leaders” showed that the Labour Party was distinctly apprehensive about the result of the forthcoming General Election. They were, however, by no means inexperienced in campl igning and the people could expect some dramatic appeals before election day. A strong committee was set up and the campaign in the area was put under way. ______
