ANNUAL BALL REVIVED

SUCCESSFUL PARTY AT ELMWOOD STAFF OF THOMSON. AND BEATTIE ENTERTAINS After five years the staff- of Thomson and Beattie, Ltd., has revived its annual ball, and the marked success of the function last evening was encouraging enough to make it a yearly event in future. The energetic committee which was responsible for the smooth running of the programme consisted of Misses E. McChesney and I. Rewcastle and Messrs C.' G. Boyd, N. K. Dickson, J. Bannerman and G. Dawson. Miss McChesney wore a frock of black taffetas, and Miss Rewcastle’s frock was of pink taffetas. The Troubadours’ Orchestra played the music, and a number of competition dances were held.
