PIPE BAND OFFICERS ELECTED AT ANNUAL MEETING' At the annual meeting of the Gore Pipe Band Mr W. McGill presided over a big attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted The election of officers resulted as follows:— Patrons, Messrs A. T. Newman and D. McDougall, M.P.; president, Mr W. McGill; vice-presidents, Messrs W. D. Shelton, L. E. West, F. Davis, G. Wallace and J. Clutterbuck; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. B. Henderson; men’s committee, Messrs C. Miller, J. E. Knox, D. Horn, J. McLeod and J. Broome; women’s social committee, Mesdames J. Cannon, J. Broome, M. H. Henderson, F. Davis, W. Tretheway and Misses J. McGill, B. Ness, M. Miller and R. Horn; women’s convener, Mrs J. Cannon; trustees, Messrs A. T. Newman, R. Graham, J. McLeod, W. D. Shelton, E. Clutterbuck and W. McGill; auditor, Mr J. E. Knox. Eight new members were elected. Before the annual meeting a meeting of band members was held and the following officers were elected: Drummajor, Mr W. R. J. Pollock; pipe-major, Mr R. Graham; pipe-sergeant, Mr H. McLeod; pipe-corporal, Mr T. Gregory; durm-sergeant, Mr R. Falconer; drum corporal, Mr L. Trusler.
