YOUNG MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
SENTENCE OF HARD LABOUR (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24. George Ronald Dibson, aged 25, a motor driver pleaded guilty today to drunkenness and not guilty to assaulting Constable V. G. Harkins. The case arose out of a fight put up by the accused after his arrest for noisy drunkenness in South Wellington. The accused was convicted, and for the assault was sentenced to six weeks’ hard labour.
