GENERAL NOTES With a cargo of cased fish, the motorvessel Ranui (Mr J. W. P. Thompson, master) arrived at Bluff yesterday morning from Stewart Island. The motor-vessel Aurora, with a cargo of cased fish, has returned to Bluff from the West Coast Sounds. The Union Company’s steamer Wainui finished working yesterday and sailed in the afternoon for Dunedin. The Union Company’s trading vessel Waipiata is expected to finish discharge today and sail for Dunedin. The Federal liner Cumberland began loading frozen meat and produce yesterday and is expected to finish and sail on Thursday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland to complete. From Sydney, the Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Waikouaiti is expected to reach Bluff tomorrow. She will begin discharge of her Australian cargo and will complete at Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. The Talroa left London on June 15 for Australia where she will discharge. She Is expected on the New Zealand coast either in August or September to load. The Union Company’s new vessel Korowai began her maiden voyage on June 13, when she left Cardiff for New Zealand. She Is proceeding via Port Said, Safaga. Aden and Bunbury and is due at Wellington on August 17.

The Hororata, en route from Liverpool to Bluff direct, has advised by radio that she expects to reach Bluff on the afternoon of June 28.
