Concern at the practice of leaving sick sheep to die on the roadside or of dropping them over a fence was expressed at a meeting of the South Canterbury Society for- Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The meeting expressed the opinion that persons driving sheep should take steps to see that ailing animals in a mob were properly treated or destroyed.
