BRITAIN’S FIVE NEW CAPITAL SHIPS
DESCRIPTION PUBLISHED BY GERMAN ADMIRALTY LONDON, May 18. Mr Hector C. By water in The Daily Telegraph reveals that a description of the five King George V class battleships which are being built is published in the journal of the German Admiralty. The main armament is ten 14in guns. The weight of a broadside is 15,6001 b, which is 40 per cent, below that of H.M.S. Nelson, but this is compensated by more rapid fire. The weight of armour protection. is 13,000 tons. The ships are mounting the most powerful anti-aircraft batteries afloat
