AIRCRAFT CONSTRUCTORS.—The Secretary for Air (Sir Kingsley Wood.) met the leading aircraft manufacturers on Wednesday at a meeting of the Council of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors. (British Official Wireless.) THE KING AT MANCHESTER.— Opening an extension of the Manchester Town Hall, the King recalled that the foundation stone had been laid in July 1934 by his father. Rain fell during the drive Which their Majesties made through Salford, Eccles, Warrington and St. Helens on Wednesday, but the huge crowds which cheered them seemed to be unaffected.
