WRESTLING
KENNEDY AND FRALEY DRAW (United Press Association) • PALMERSTON NORTH, May 19. Jack Kennedy (16.4) and Pat Fraley (16.2) drew tonight in a wrestling bout. The first fall was in the fifth round, when Kennedy, trying to tackle Fraley was trapped by the latter’s celebrated flying toe-hold, to which Kennedy immediately capitulated. The last round opened with Kennedy sending Fraley sprawling with a flying tackle. The latter, infuriated, rushed Kennedy into a corner, where he started punching him. The referee pulled Fraley back and Kennedy came in with another flying tackle, landing on top of Fraley and the referee, who wriggled clear and saw Kennedy pinning Fraley, awarding him the equalizing fall. On both the wrestlers coming to their feet, with the referee walking out of the ring, Fraley spreadeagled Kennedy with a drop-kick and the referee had to return to separate them. Fraley did not appear to realize that he had been pinned and after a word from the referee shook hands with Kennedy.
