Among those who have at various times worked on the staff of the Southland Building Society are: Sir Robert Anderson (1879 to 1883); Mr John Fisher, of Otautau (18771882), now chairman of' directors of the Farmers’ Dairy Federation; Mr G. H. Griffiths (1896-1899), at present head master of Middle School; and Mr A. W. Jones (19041907), now of W. A. Ott and Co., -Ltd.
