BUILDING CONTRACTOR SENT TO PRISON (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, May 18. Found guilty of negligently driving a motor-car, causing death, Kaspar Gray Webley, a building contractor, was this morning sentenced by Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court, to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour and he was debarred from holding a driving licence for five years. SITTING AT WANGANUI (United Press Association) WANGANUI, May 18. In the Supreme Court Dardanelles Paranihi, who was charged with having broken the terms of his probation, was sentenced by Mr Justice Blair to reformative treatment for three years. William Patrick Doody, who pleaded guilty to four charges of indecent assault on males, was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within three years, certain conditions being imposed.'
