The Canberra correspondent of The Sun reports that Major-General Ernest Ker Squires, Director of Staff Duties at the War Office in London since 1936, has been selected by the Commonwealth Government for appointment as Inspec-tor-General of the Australian Military Forces. The Federal Government is now awaiting advice whether the British Government can spare Major-General Ker Squires for two years for reorganization of the Australian forces.
