COLONIAL CLAIM REITERATED
“Germany Must Have Place In Sun” I HITLER’S WARNING TO WORLD RECALLED (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright) (Received May 18, 11.50 p.m.) BERLIN, May 18. Captain Wenig, propaganda leader of the German Colonial League, in a speech at Munich declared that the absorption of Austria made Germany’s colonial claims more urgent than before. He emphasized that Herr Hitler had recently warned the world that Germany’s rightful demands could not be ignored, and it was not his way to keep on demanding a thing for long. “Unfortunately our colonies do not lie on our borders, otherwise foreign statesmen might wake up one fine morning and find that we have already marched into them,” said Captain Wenig. “Germany wants and must have her place in the sun. We demand the return of our colonies. All of them! They are ours, and we mean to have them.”
