WORKERS TO DISCUSS REARMAMENT
TRADES UNIONS AND EMPLOYERS TO MEET (British Official Wireless) (Received May 18, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, May 17. On May 25 a conference between the employers and the trades unions in the chief industries involved in rearmament work will be held to study further questions raised by the recent appeal by the Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) and the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence (Sir Thomas Inskip) to consider means of facilitating production in the acceleration of the rearmament programme.
