EX-SERVICEMEN’S VISIT TO SYDNEY

SIR ANDREW RUSSELL COMMENTS ON SUCCESS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 16. Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, the leader of the New Zealand contingent to the Anzac Day services in Sydney, returned by the Awatea today. He spoke of the great success of the visit to Sydney and its strengthening of the bonds between the two countries. Numerous applications had been received by the Returned Soldiers’ League of Australia for the contingent to visit New Zealand in 1940.
