BLUFF NEWS
LEVEL OF RESERVOIR IS RISING BENEFICIAL EFFECT OF RAIN The first indication of any material improvement in. the water supply at Bluff was given on Monday, when the level of the reservoir was 10ft 7 J in. This is three and a-half inches higher than last week, when the water was at its lowest level, ahd it is believed that a steady flow is being directed into the reservoir. The earlier showers of last week had little effect, as the ground was extremely dry, but the heavy rain that fell during the week-end is helping to augment the present supply and although a great deal more rain is required to make up the shortage caused by the prolonged period of dry weather, the supply is showing signs of improvement. The crisis is over for householders, whose premises are equipped with tanks, as these now contain a plentiful supply of water.
