VISIT OF KING TO GLASGOW

OPENING OF EMPIRE EXHIBITION MANY FINISHING TOUCHES STILL TO BE PUT (British Official Wireless) (Received May 1, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, April 30. Glasgow streets and buildings are being gaily decorated in preparation for the visit of King George and Queen Elizabeth on Tuesday for the opening of the Empire Exhibition. The stadium, which will be the scene of numerous spectacles during the exhibition, is to be used for the opening ceremony. Its galleries will provide accommodation for about 100,000 spectators. Although many finishing touches are still required, there is every reason to believe that the exhibition will be ready in all respects for the opening ceremony.
