CHEVIOT RAMS
PURCHASE BY DIPTON FARMER A consignment of six two-tooth Cheviot rams has arrived at the farm of Mr P. A. McDonald, Dipton. They were purchased from Mr J. Webb, of Taihape, the noted breeder of Cheviot sheep. Mr McDonald formerly had one Cheviot ram from which he had obtained such satisfactory results that he decided to buy more. Last season he mated the ram with Romney ewes, and this season mated Cheviot-Romney cross rams with Romney ewes.
