GENERAL NOTES The Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial trading vessel Karetu finished loading timber and left Bluff last evening for Sydney. The Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial trading vessel Waikouaiti arrived at Bluff from Lyttelton late last evening. The O.S.K. motor-ship Melbourne Marti, for which the Federal Company are agents, is reported by cable to have left Kobe on February 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, via Rabaul and Noumea. She is expected at Auckland on March 7, and at Wellington on March 11. The Shaw Savill steamer Zealandic is due at Wellington on Sunday from Auckland, loading for London and West Coast ports. She will leave on Tuesday to complete at Port Chalmers, and will sail finally on March 4, going Home by the Panama Canal. Prevented from berthing at Opua by strong winds, the Federal steamer Cornwall was diverted to Auckland, where she arrived Tuesday. She will now return to Opua after loading at Auckland. The Cornwall is expected at Wellington to complete about March 2, and will sail finally on March 5 for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. Under charter to the British Phosphate Commission, the Bank Line steamer Weirbank left Nauru Island last Thursday for New Plymouth where she Is due about Monday. She will finish unloading at Auckland. The Port Line motor-ship Port Chalmers, due at Auckland from London on March 9, brings the following passengers: Mr and Mrs Atwill. Miss Mangan, Mr' F. A. Smee.
