WHAREPUNA FREE KINDERGARTEN
APPRECIATION OF HELP DURING YEAR At the annual meeting of the Wharepuna Free Kindergarten, Bowmont street, held on Tuesday evening, there was a fair attendance, including members of the Kindergarten Council. Mr McKiilop occupied the chair and extended a cordial welcome, stating that he wished more mothers would attend. - The annual report and balance-sheet was read by. the secretary, Mr Grant, and the chairman congratulated the committee on the result of the year’s work, stating that it had only been made possible through the co-operation of the committee. He then moved that the annual report and balance-sheet be adopted. In seconding the motion, Messrs Frampton and Holland made special mention of the help given by the Mothers’ Club and the street stall helpers. The secretary was instructed to forward a letter of thanks to Mr Mannings for his work as auditor during several years. Mesdames Grant and Aldridge, on behalf of the Kindergarten Council, congratulated the committee on its balance-sheet, and referred to the council’s happy relations with the Wharepuna Kindergarten. The following office-bearers were elected:—Chairman, Mr McKiilop (reelected); vice-chairmen, Messrs Frampton and Holland; secretary and treasurer, Mr Grant. The committee was re-elected with power to add to the number.
