OBITUARY

MR JOHN GRIGOR The death has occurred in Hastings of Mr John Grigor, who was some years ago well-known as a farmer in Otago and Southland. Mr Grigor was born at Inchclutha, Otago, in 1870 and was educated at the Balclutha public school, where his father, Mr Alexander Grigor, was head master. After leaving school he took up farming and farmed various properties in Otago and Southland. In 1905 he married Miss Isabella Macdonald, daughter of Mr Andrew Macdonald, a retired school master at Invercargill. Mr Grigor went to Hastings 23 years ago and lived there till 1920, when he moved to Haumoana.
