Prices Generally Show Little Alteration

Conditions appeared to be a little brighter on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday, although prices on the whole showed little alteration. Woolworths (Sydney) were firmer and Mount Lyells a shade better. Banking shares were easy and insurances continue quiet. Breweries were unaltered and meat preserving companies’ shares were in small demand yesterday. Woollens found a dull ™ a ™, et and shipping companies’ shares had a limited demand, lhe metal market was still a dull one, although Mount Morgans and Electrolytic Zincs both showed a slight improvement yesterday. Two sales of Woolworths were reported at 25/11 and 26/-.
