NO HELP IN EVENT OF WAR NEW YORK, February 16. The American Federation of Labour rejected an appeal by M. Joseph Stalin, the Soviet dictator, -to organized labour throughout the world to aid the Soviet in the event of war. The spokesman said: “The Soviet deserves no more support than Herr Hitler or Signor Mussolini.” It was decided to inform the International Federation of Trades Unions that the American Federation of Labour would withdraw if the Soviet unions were admitted to membership.
