RED CROSS SOCIETY

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE At the monthly meeting of the executive of the Invercargill Red Cross Society there were present: Mrs J. G. Petrie (president), in the chair, Mesdames A. Hanan, F. Bartlett and A. Gray and Miss M. A. Hunter. Several applications for assistance were dealt with. The members reported having visited the Southland hospitals fortnightly to distribute tobacco and sweets. Miss A. E. McNaughton, Riverton representative, reported having visited the Wallace hospital weekly. There were five soldier patients. Six letters of appreciation and thanks were received from returned soldiers for Christmas gifts and assistance received.
