PRICES DECLARED TOO LOW

GOVERNMENT’S VIEW IN AMERICA

INDICATIONS OF FORCED UPWARDS MOVEMENT

(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received February 16, 11.30 p.m.)

WASHINGTON, February 16. The President (Mr Franklin D. Roosevelt) expressed the opinion that the present price levels were too low and that they should make an upwards movement. His remarks are assumed to refer to commodities and raw materials. The President indicated that he would enunciate the Administration s price policy before the week-end. The belief that the Administration is advancing swiftly towards controlled reflationary action is expressed by the Washington correspondent of The New York Herald-Tribune, says a message from New York.
