MISS MUNRO NOT INCLUDED (United Press Association) s WELLINGTON, January 14.' The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has decided not to include Miss E. Munro, of Auckland, in the athletic team for the Empire Games at Sydney. PROTEST BY AUCKLAND CENTRE (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 14. _ The Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre has sent a protest to the New Zealand Association against the exclusion of Miss Munro from the Empire Games team. The protest points out that the Auckland centre arranged trials for Miss Munro, whose best effort was 18ft s&in, a New Zealand record. The distances were officially measured.
Public opinion in Auckland supports the protest, which urges Miss Munro’s inclusion.
