PROTEST BY AUCKLAND CENTRE (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 14. _ The Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre has sent a protest to the New Zealand Association against the exclusion of Miss Munro from the Empire Games team. The protest points out that the Auckland centre arranged trials for Miss Munro, whose best effort was 18ft s&in, a New Zealand record. The distances were officially measured.
