NEW ANTI-TANK RIFLE FOR BRITISH ARMY
FIRING RATE OF NINE ROUNDS A MINUTE LONDON, December 28. An anti-tank rifle weighing 361 b and capable of firing nine rounds a minute is shortly being issued to all infantry battalions. “It is essentially a weapon of surprise,” says The Daily Telegraph, “affording protection against light armoured fighting tanks. Its total length is 64in.”
