IMPRISONED PASTORS’ BRIEF FREEDOM
RELEASE FOR CHRISTMAS ONLY (Received December 27, 6.30 p.m.) BERLIN, December 26. It is learned that a number of pastors were recently released only to enjoy their liberty for the Christmas holidays, after which they have been ordered to return to prison. Dr Martin Niemoller’s request to spend Christmas away from prison was refused. Dr Niemoller is the leader of the organized church campaign against the “nazification” of religion.
