BUILDING BOOM IN AUSTRALIA
PROSPERITY IN CITIES OF COMMONWEALTH (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 27. “I was impressed by the air of prosperity apparent both in Melbourne and Sydney and with the surprising amount of building going on,” said Mr E. P. Yaldwin, late manager of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Wellington; who has just returned from Australia. He said that in Sydney there was evidence of a building boom of no mean proportions. He considered the potentialities of Australia unlimited and it was good to hear that relations between the Commonwealth and New Zealand were being steadily improved.
