KIDNAPPING SUSPECTED IN SYRIA

NATIVE. GOVERNOR MISSING (Received December 26, 6.30 p.m.) BIERUT, December 24. Tewfik Bey Chamieh, Governor of El Jezireh and Euphrates, is reported missing. It is believed he was kidnapped while motoring from Deirel Zor to Hassetchen. His car was found empty 20 miles from his destination.
