U.F.S. DISPENSARY
SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS FOR CHRISTMAS Gone are the days when chemists place two huge glass bowls of coloured liquids in their windows, just to show that they are chemists. One of the finest and most modern dispensary displays is to be found in the brightly and artistically arranged windows of the United Friendly Society’s Dispensary in Tay street, where anyone with an eye for the beautiful is tempted to linger. In this particular branch of business science has excelled itself and the Christmas shopper has a wealth of variety from which to choose. One could pick up any article at random and find in it a suitable and entirely appropriate Christmas present. Cameras and films occupy an important place along with the latest types of toilet sets, perfumes, bath salts and manicure outfits, and a beautiful array of cut glass bottles also suggests a suitable form of Christmas present. A special feature is the new Centifolia rose perfumed soap which is meeting a keen demand, and new styles in brushes and zylonite sets are also finding favour. For men there is a wide range of shaving outfits in attractive designs, and indeed it is difficult to conceive a more suitable type of present at this time of the year. For this season medicines and all the unpleasant ills they suggest are relegated to the background and the appearance of the dispensary is more in keeping with the. season. Spotless glass counters and gleaming • rails coupled with prompt and expert service make the shop one of the most attractive places in Invercargill in which, to pursue the quest for Christmas presents
