ITALIAN SECRECY OVER BELGIAN’S VISIT
ECONOMIC PROPOSALS FOR IL DUCE ROME, December 19. Remarkable secrecy is being maintained about the visit of Dr Paul van Zeeland, until recently Prime Minister of Belgium, to Rome. The Press is ordered not to publish anything. It is understood that Dr van Zeeland is proposing to Signor Mussolini a conference among Britain, the United States, France, Germany and Italy to draft a plan for world economic reconstruction and to establish a new economic organization to replace that of the League of Nations, with which Italy and Germany refuse to cooperate. ■
