USE OF HOSES ON GARDENS At last night’s meeting of the Gore Borough Council, the report of the water committee stated‘that two consumers had been caught using hoses on their gardens. The committee recommended that they be prosecuted. It was stated by one councillor that half the consumers in the town were using their hoses, but that the borough officials could not catch them. Only two had been caught and for that reason the committee considered that the council should prosecute.

After a brief discussion it was decided to take no action.
