WOMEN’S DIVISION
, WRIGHTS BUSH BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Wrights Bush branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union Mrs T. H. Anderson presided over a large attendance of members. It was decided to hold a picnic in January. Mrs H. Suggate, Waianiwa, gave a talk on her recent trip abroad.
The competitions resulted: Best bloom: Mrs W. Buchanan 1, Mrs A. Anderson 2, Mrs G. Carter 3. Shortbread: Miss Bryant 1, Miss G. Matchett 2, Mrs Muirhead 3. Novelty: Mrs Cahill 1 and 2.
The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames C. Nicholas, T. Meehan and G. Leith.
