AUSTRALIAN BAND CHAMPIONSHIP

NEW ZEALANDER APPOINTED JUDGE (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, December 11. Mr R. J. Estall has been appointed one of three judges for the Centenary band contest in Sydney next month. Mr Estall will be sole judge at the Newcastle band contest for the Australian championship. This is the first time a New Zealander has been appointed to the position. He is conductor of the Woolston Band, which has won many New Zealand championships.
