GUARANTEED PRICE ADJUSTMENTS
PAYMENTS TO BE MADE ON MONDAY (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, December 3. The end of the season payments representing the promised adjustments in the guaranteed prices for last season’s butter and cheese exported by the Marketing Department will be made on Monday according to an announcement made this evening by the Minister of Marketing (the Hon. W. Nash). The total of additional payments, as stated by Mr Nash, will be approximately £356,000. They comprise the following items: —The payment of a farthing a lb on cheese to maintain the promised differential margin, approximately £16,500; the payment of the difference between last season’s price and this season’s price of butter and cheese exported before the current price was announced, £147,000; ad-
justing the payment on butter and cheese which normally would have been exported this season, but which was required to be exported last season, £44,000.
