CLERICAL WORKERS’ UNION
AFFILIATION WITH LABOUR PARTY NOT APPROVED (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 3. The decision of the Otago Clerical Workers’ Union to affiliate with the New Zealand Labour Party has been reversed. Some months ago the union passed a resolution deciding on affiliation, but it did not meet with unanimous approval and a secret ballot was held recently on the question whether the union should rescind the motion. It is understood the union is in favour of recission by a two to one majority.
