NICHOL BEATS LINDESAY (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 1. A professional heavyweight boxing contest between Claude Nichol, of Australia, and Denis Lindesay, of Auckland, was won on points by Nichol. Lindesay was making his third appearance as a professional and over the early stages he held an advantage on points During the later rounds, however. Nichol’s ring experience stood him in good stead and he drew his opponent in and punished him with left hooks to cut an eyebrow and with hard right rips to the body
