Mr J. S. Hazlett presided over an attendance of over 30 members The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr J. M. Crosbie; president, Mr J. S. Hazlett; vice-presidents, Messrs James Campbell, L. Dawson. D. W. Crosbie and J. Marshall; secretary, Mr W. A. H. Thompson; assistant secretary, Mr B. Partridge; treasurer. Mr J. Campbell; auditor, Mr T. Mitchell; committee, Messrs J. Bain, L Cahill, C. Welsh, C. Moloney, W. Jones, W. Young, jun., F. Crosbie, D. G Tomlin, G. Cook, W. Mortimer, J. Senior, W. Young, sen., A. Reid, A. Drummond and J. Earl. It was decided to make a canvass of the district for members. The subscription was fixed at 10/6. Mr J. M. Crosbie wrote apologizing for his absence and offered the club the use of his track for three years free of charge. It was decided to accept Mr Crosbie’s offer with thanks. Dr E. Brown wrote offering his services as honorary surgeon. The offer was accepted with thanks. The following recommendations to the committee were made: That the date of the hack race meeting be April 2 1938; the programme to consist of seven races (two trots, one hurdle race, one steeplechase, one of six furlongs, one of seven furlongs and one of a mile and aquarter).
