MAGISTRATE’S COURT
WEDNESDAY (Before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M.) John R. Fraser (Mr G. J. Reed) pleaded not guilty to failing to give way to a tram-car while driving a motor-car. He was fined 10/-, costs 13/-, and ordered to pay witness’s expenses 4/-. For failing to return military equipment, Henry Thomas Burnett Batt was convicted and ordered to pay part court costs 2/- and the value of the equipment, 12/5, and Francis John Boyle was fined £1 and ordered to pay the cost of the equipment, £6 18/4, and costs 10/-. Russell Drummond France pleaded guilty to riding a bicycle on a footpath and was fined 5/-, with costs 10/-.
