During the year ended March 31 last 11 migrants received assisted passages to New Zealand according to the annual report of the Department of Labour, which was tabled in the House of Representatives. No assisted passages were granted in the previous year. The report adds that during the last year interest in migration has intensified in New Zealand and in other parts of the Empire.
