WEDDING
PRESTON—KINROSS
The wedding was solemnized at Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Timaru, recently of Ivy Alice, y°? n S est daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Kinross, Coldstream, Southbum, to Percival Edward James, younger son of Mr and Mrs M. Preston, Springbrook. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father,' wore a trained frock of ivory ring velvet with a high neckline and leg o’ mutton sleeves. Her embroidered veil, which was worn over the face, was held in place with a. coronet of orange-blossoms. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The bride was attended by Miss Jeane Kinross, her sister, and Miss Helen Waddell of Southland, as bridesmaids. They wore cherry red ring velvet frocks made on the same classical lines as the bride’s frock. Their halo headbands were made of cherry red flowers and silver leaves, and they carried sheaves of tulips. Mr Lyonel Pye was best man and Mr Robert Kinross was groomsman. The reception was held at the Caroline Bay Tea Rooms, where Mrs. Kinross, wearing a nigger brown suit ana hat to match, and carrying a posy of polyanthus, and Mrs Preston, wearing a navy frock and hat, and carrying a bouquet of red anemones, received the guests. . For travelling the bride wore a tunic frock of navy relieved with white, a navy Breton sailor hat and accessories to match. Mr and Mrs P. E. J. Preston s future home will be at Valpre, St. Andrews.
