Messrs C. Jarvis and H. S. Pringle (Dunedin) are at the Club Hotel. Mr D. J. Grindlay has been appointed an assistant master at the Invercargill South School. Messrs J. Cole and D. Newson (Wellington) and E. Henry (Dunedin) are at the Grand Hotel. Mr John Macdonald, who has been on a visit to Wellington returned to Invercargill by the express last evening.

Mr E. C. Hazlett, Dunedin, who has been visiting England, will leave on his return to the Dominion by the Orama on October 23.

Lieutenant-Colonel C. E. Bull, of Cape Town, arrived at Auckland by the Monterey from Sydney, to spend a fishing holiday in New Zealand. Mr W. Grieve left Invercargill by the afternoon express yesterday for Dunedin, where he will attend a session of the Otago Synod of the Anglican Church. \ The Rev. G. E. Lomas has left Invercargill by car for Dunedin, where he will attend a session of the Otago Synod of the Anglican Church. The Ven. Archdeacon J. A. Lush, left by the afternoon express yesterday for Dunedin to attend a session of the Otago Synod of the Anglican Church. Mr R. T. Meredith, president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, will leave by the express this morning for Wellington, where he will attend a meeting of the council of the union.

Mr W. R. Kell, until lately manager and secretary of Gordon and Gotch (N.Z.) Advertising, Ltd., has been appointed to the headquarters executive staff of J. Inglis Wright, Ltd., advertising agents. Mr William Mcßride, district land registrar and assistant commissioner of stamp duties at Blenheim, has been transferred on promotion to Auckland. His successor will be Mr A. Fowler, of Christchurch. Dr Alan Tennent, who was medical officer to the New Zealand Coronation contingent, arrived at Auckland by the Niagara. Since the Coronation Dr Tennent has been engaged in professional work in London and New York.
