HAILE SELASSIE SUES CABLE COMPANY
CLAIM FOR MAINTENANCE OF ETHIOPIAN SERVICE (Received October 19, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 18. Haile Selassie, the exiled Emperor of Abyssinia, is suing Cables and Wireless, Limited, for approximately £lO,OOO because before his departure the company, referring to maintenance of the London-Ethiopian radio telegraph service, admitted the money was due but pleaded that the King of Italy had become Emperor.
