AID OF BRONCHOSCOPE SOUGHT

VENEZUELAN SWALLOWS GOLD TOOTH (Received October 17, 6.30 p.m.) PHILADELPHIA, October 16. The latest and most interesting case for Dr Chevalier Jackson’s bronchoscope is revealed with the arrival at Temple University of Dr Contreras, a prominent Venezuelan physician and a cousin of the President (General Ele'azar Contreras), after a trip by a steamer ambulance. Dr Contreras swallowed a gold tooth after a fit of coughing. The case is complicated by the fact that magnetic devices cannot be applied to remove the tooth. Dr Jackson has begun an extensive X-ray, and has already carried out an operation.
