The weather for the Caulfield Cup meeting is uncertain and it is raining. TRACK FOR CAULFIELD CUP SOFT MELBOURNE, October 15. Steady rain fell today and the forecast is for further showers. The prospects indicate a soft track. Flood Tide is reputed to be a great horse in soft going as also is Manolive. Bristol and Old Rowley, which are candidates for the Melbourne Cup, have arrived at Flemington. Pantoon has been rehandicapped six pounds for the Burwood Handicap for his Valley win and carries 7.13.
