Christian Science Churches. —“Doctrine of Atonement” is the subject of the Lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, tomorrow. The Golden Text is “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9). Among the citations which comprise the Lesson-sermon are the following from the Bible: “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). The Lesson-sermon also contains the following passage from the Christian Science Textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “We acknowledge Jesus’ atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding Man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.”
